(Printed in black fountain pen ink) I want to use this paper to write various thoughts, ideas, prayers, or anything that comes to mind.

This might be a good place to list my goals and determine…

The last thing I want to do is stop.

I don’t want to give up.

The last place I want to go is the end of the line.

The last thing I want to hear is the sound cut off.

The last thing I want to see is the fading…

Sometimes I wonder where I am going in life or what I am going to discover around the next corner. Looking ahead is a landscape filled with possibilities. Dreams to pursue. Goals to reach. Hopes to be realized. …

For a chronically sedentary individual, this is good news. I will be moving, soon, and once moved, I will be in a place where walking will be a pleasant activity, unlike where I am. I used to walk a mile a day at least 3 days a week, because my job kept me in my seat for 9 hours, constantly on the phone. I look forward to getting back into a walking routine.

Can journal writing be done on a random piece of loose-leaf paper? Does it need to be in a bound journal? Or can it be spoken into a tape recorder, leaving its digital imprint on a magnetic strip? How about a wax covered cylinder carved by a…

It's funny. I am quick to forgive others, but I don't forgive myself easily. I am harsh on myself and I DO tend to think my mistakes define me. Thanks Tom, I needed this right now, more than you could know.

I started journaling when I was a teen, back in 1964 and have not stopped. My biggest mistake was tearing my first 500 pages up into little pieces of self loathing, so no one could ever read the hell I went through as a child that almost led to my suicide at 14. Even though it was destroyed, it is the thing that helped me get through that time and many other difficult times in my life. Journaling is history. It is self-reflection. It is self-understanding and correction. And it is the ability to find love for yourself amidst all that self-denigration. I definitely agree with this assessment, Tom, and strongly recommend journaling to everyone, no matter what your situation.

Thank you for sharing.

My writing journey on Medium has suffered a hiatus, lately, which is not going to end soon, unfortunately. I am selling my house and moving to low income housing. This may seem like a bad thing, but, really, it is a wonderful thing for my writing endeavors. You see, I…

Are you authentic? Or are you living a life of Conformity?

I don’t have any idea what I am going to write, today. I have been in the middle of a writer’s block for a couple weeks, now. Even having written about writer’s block and how to write yourself…

I am finding the same issue. I became frustrated when I took surveys for 2 hours and earned 10 times the amount in those 2 hours than I have earned all together on Medium all year.
